Seventh-grade cellist, Hannah Palastro, spoke in support of FCPS Elementary Band and Strings programs at the FEA Town Hall Meeting on Dec 2, 2009.
“Without these early chances to perform, I would not have self esteem I do today. If you take these elementary school opportunities away from the students you will be taking something away from the whole of Fairfax County Public Schools. Creativity, sense of self, team work, and the love of the arts will wilt.”
